Forget Your Boring Brown Bag Lunch

April 22, 2010

The Memphis Music Foundation presents Tuesday Tunes in downtown’s  Court Square, as a part of Downtown Alive.  In association with the Center City Commission, we will feature select MRC members each Tuesday with performances in Court Square from 11:45 am to 1:00 pm.  Local country music star Trey Jewell kicked off the series this week to an enthusiastic crowd of downtowners looking to spice up their lunchtime routine.

If you’re looking to support Memphis music even further, check out the lunch happenings the rest of the week.  Each Friday, Live From Memphis will showcase artists from their popular “60 Seconds Live” show.  This past week featured artists Jeff Pruitt, Lauren Strange, and Darren J.  Up next week- Jeff Hulett and Holly Cole.  For the full Downtown Alive lunch schedule, check out the Downtown Memphis website.

So if you’re tired of eating the same turkey sandwich at your desk every day, get out and enjoy the weather and great Memphis music in Court Square.  The series will continue throughout the summer and we look forward to seeing you there!
