MEMPHIS COMMUNITY TO HONOR ALEXIS GRACE APRIL 15
The Memphis Grizzlies, the Memphis Music Foundation, Memphis Rock N Soul Museum and the City of Memphis will honor American Idol participant and Memphis native Alexis Grace with a special presentation on the FedExForum Plaza on April 15 at 6:15 p.m., prior to the Grizzlies final game of the season against the Atlanta Hawks.
Leading up to the event honoring Grace there will be live music and free King Cotton Hot Dogs on the Plaza from 5:00-6:00 p.m. The Grizz Girls and Grizzlies inflatables will also be part of the excitement, along with free Pepsi soft drinks for fans from 5:00 p.m. until tip-off.
Grizzlies and Grace fans will then have a chance to see her perform live for one of the first times since returning from American Idol, but to do so will need to vote for her one more time as part of the Ultimate Fan’s Choice at grizzlies.com. Fans will have a chance to vote for Grace to tip-off Fan Appreciation Night with the national anthem, in addition to that evening’s entertainment teams, music and much more. Voting for Grace and all other Ultimate Fan’s Choice categories is open now.
Grace made it to the top 11 of the popular American Idol television singing competition. She was eliminated from the show on March 18 but will return to the program for the season finale performance. She is a member of the Music Foundation’s Memphis Music Resource Center, which offers free workspace, networking, education workshops and career counseling for the local music community.
As part of Fan Appreciation Night, presented by First Tennessee, the Grizzlies are offering a special Fan Appreciation ticket offer, with Terrace Level seats available for $10, First Tennessee Club Level tickets for $25 and select Plaza Level Tickets for only $20. The first 5,000 fans in attendance will also receive a free Grizzlies t-shirt, courtesy of First Tennessee. Tickets are available at the FedExForum Box Office, all Ticketmaster locations, by calling 888-HOOP or by going to grizzlies.com.
