Today (Tues, May 19): Local alt-country/ indie-rock band Jamie Randolph & The Dark Horse today in Court Square Park! Bring chairs, blankets and picnic lunch! Also, the ever-popular Walking Tour of the Bluff with historian Jimmy Ogle meets at Confederate Park (Jefferson at Front).
Wednesday, May 20: Free salsa lessons with the pros from The Rumba Room.
Main at Court Square Thursday, May 21: The Navy’s Rock Band jams at Main and Court.
Friday, May 22: De-stress with Artistic Body Movement – learn technique that combines Tai Chi and Nia Dancing. Court Square.
Up next week during lunch – Great music with Deering & Down, Tour of Beale Street by Jimmy Ogle, Self-Defense Class by master Mark Akin, Hattiloo Theatre’s “A Stroll Down Black Broadway”, and meet the once-famous past residents of Court Square who now live in Elmwood Cemetery. Yeah, they might be dead, but their legend lives on…
