Memphis Music @ the Bluebird Cafe

March 28, 2010

This Tuesday, March 30th, the Memphis Music Foundation will be joined in Nashville, TN by some of the most compelling Memphis musicians for its semi-annual showcase at the famous Bluebird Cafe.  Artists Cory Branan, Jason Freeman, Jeremy Stanfill, Joy Whitlock, and Billie Worley are set to perform, with hosts Al Bell and Rivers Rutherford.  The event is a part of the Tin Pan South Songwriters Conference that takes place annually as an opportunity for songwriters to showcase their talents.  The Bluebird Cafe is the ideal venue, as it has served as a performance place for songwriters since its opening in 1982.  Superstars Garth Brooks, Michael McDonald, and Donna Summer, as well as outbreak star Taylor Swift have all performed at the Bluebird on its Sunday Open Mic night.  Its acousitc vibe is welcoming of all genres of music, from country to pop to Christian, and has made it a historic landmark in Nashville that we are proud to be a part of.
