Tickets on sale now for Memphis Hip Hop Expo 2010

Tickets are on sale now for’s Memphis Hip Hop Expo 2010, happening Sept. 2-5 at the Cook Convention Center. The Memphis Music Foundation is proud to partner with Memphis Rap for this inaugural event, and is offering Music Resource Center members a discount for entry! Celebrate Labor Day Weekend at the Memphis Hip Hop Weekend & Expo 2010, produced by and sponsored by media sponsor The Memphis Flyer, and in part by the Memphis Grizzlies, who’ll be providing entertainment by the Memphis Grizzlies Dance Team, feature celebrity appearances and more. Browse, shop exhibitors and vendors, enjoy music, entertainment, fashion, dance, learn about jobs in the music and entertainment industry and more. The Memphis Hip Hop Expo and Trade Show  will be Sept. 3-4 at the Memphis Cook Convention Center. Watch the Hip Hop Art, Tattoo Ink and Fashion Show, plus pro BMX Bike show!

Special guests include Memphis Key To The City recipient Christopher ‘Drumma Boy’ Gholson (GRAMMY® nominated, award-winning producer whose production credits include T.I., Ludacris, Kanye West, Gucci Mane & others), Southern Entertainment Awards co-founder Janiro Hawkins announcing for the first time the 2011 SEA Award Ballots, a wake-up call by Dr. Kenneth T. Whalum Jr. (Memphis City Schools Board of Commissioner, Pastor and author of Hip Hop Is Not Our Enemy), other celebrity appearances including from the Memphis Grizzlies, with performances by Hypnotized Minds’ Lil Wyte, La Chat (Dime-A-Dozen Entertainment), Gangsta Boo (Drum Squad), recording artist/producer/songwriter Kia Shine, southern rap/crunk/soul band Hillkrunk (Diamond D), R&B sensation Tre’ V, Pro BMX bike rider Ricky Moseley and the Misled BMX Showteam, DJ Zirk ft. 2 Thick, Showcase winner Teflon Don (Soul Star Entertainment), Kristyle (Drum Squad), Partee (Gain Green Entertainment), Allie Baby (Drum Squad), Yung Kee, Miscellaneous, Miss B Hollywood, Hip Hop Violinist Lila, spiritual rapper/producer Mr Del (formerly of Three 6 Mafia), 6-year-old rising rap artist P-Nutt, 9-year-old Lil Chris (recently seen on ABC television’s Wife Swap “Parker/Robinson” episode), up-and-coming rapper Young Phenomenon with more acts to be announced soon.. plus a showcase of some of the hottest performers and freshest new hip hop, R&B and soul acts. RSVP: General admission tickets are $10 each day for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12 and ages 5 and under are free. A limited number of VIP Admission tickets are available for stage-side seating to the fashion show, tattoo ink show and live performances, as well. Hip Hop Weekend All Events Passes are also available and grant admission to all “Official” Memphis Hip Hop Weekend events including the Memphis Hip Hop Expo (both days), pass to the Memphis Hip Hop Weekend Conference, Industry Meet-N-Greet Networking Mixer, after party, Celebrity Basketball Game and more — limited availability.
