Memphis Music Launch: lights, camera, action
Last Saturday the MML finalists and members of their teams gathered at the MRC for a media training workshop. The two-hour session was evenly split between a panel discussion with representatives from radio, television and print, and mock interviews with the finalists for critique and feedback.
As each MML artist prepares to promote their music and their participation in the July 8 showcase — half of the score that determines the winner will be based on audience vote, so getting the word out is vital — the workshop helped them hone their messaging and learn the best techniques for leveraging the media to maximize their exposure.
